Clothing may exist as a demarcation between exterior and interior, public and private space, or the world and one. It works as an expansion of body and personal space where the border is drawn by garments. The act of wearing is performing to become something other than oneself. It pushes people to the constant encounter with the external, different self. According to these ideas, clothing could be seen as a liminal space, a transition of becoming.
I seek the transformation of our bodies, perception, and awareness into something different, the material and the states involved in the process of this change.
